Sorry to hear that, Paul. If you know you are embarking on a long post which will take a lot of time to construct, and especially if you navigate away from the browser frame repeatedly in which it is being constructed as you go along, then I strongly recommend you use a word processing application such as Wordpad or Word to initially compile all the text, links etc or at least to copy and paste into a document such as this as you go along. Once you rely on cache, be it within your browser as you open new tabs or within the operating system if it detects inactivity over a period of time, or if you have an ISP which dynamically readvertises your IP address to the world (as increasingly many do as a basic security precaution), then cache-dependent pages such as the in-frame editor used to submit posts will be prone to "forget" inserted content the more time is involved in its use without submitting that content.

Yes, you are right Nordmann. And thanks by the way for all the recommendations. It's just that I even now am not that used to all the subtilities of the computer, once perhaps that I would have used to the method it would be perhaps easier, but it is also some laziness . It is so easy to work and compose its message without all that hocus pocus and on the few occasions that it happens it's like the terrorist attacks, one has to reckon with the propability of the event . And it is so easy to lament and to put  s on the site ....

I prepaired to start reading tomorrow a book from A.N. Wilson about the relation of Winifred Williams with Hitler: "Winnie and Wolf".
As I had to put aside already an American promising book about the Russian-German relationship of the 20th century from William T. Vollmann that turned out in my opinion to be utter nonsens I did some research first about his book. and as that Winifred seems to have a child with Hitler in that ficton novel, I will have to chose a thrird book tomorrow to start reading

But the real history is much more interesting than the ficition. and so I found it worthwhile to do all the research. Especially while I am still question how so many people could be lurred in that 19th century "volkisch" dream, now a bit ridiculous in our 21century eyes?. Some remnants of the prehistorical clan sturcture?
