The Rijksmuseum has put a hyper-detailed picture of the "Night Watch" on line.
Well worth a look.

Gil, thank you for pointing to this event. And I tested the photograph. Unbelievable. And all those comments that I didn't know.

I have the "Night Watch" painting hanging in my "living".  We commanded the painting when we were in Thailand. In Pattaya to be more precise. It is not only what you think, but they have also serious business as copying paintings and making men's costumes in one night. Not that the other mentioned business can't be "serious" economical important too.

We had the painting with us on the retour and the exorbitant (outrageous?) frame came a few weeks later by boat. As my partner found it famous and worth for our "living" among a collection of some real paintings, we are now in the possession of a "Night Watch" by a Thai master. It can be that the frame with some gold "guirlandes" is more worth than the painting, but in fact is it a real painting.

So you can see my interest. And yes I was really astonished by the hyper-detail of the painting. If you speaks about technique, I suppose this is the very highlight of the whole painting history?

Kind regards, Paul.
