Re-historical opinion and topics, web links are posted but their content is rarely questioned or debated or are - or are we just historied out?

Could it just be Summer in Europe and people have lots of other fun things to do? I have noticed a distinct fading in my correspondence from Europe in there Summer.

No, gran I meant the general lack of discussion here. Interest in the Princes thread shows how fervant we can be yet why not on other subjects? Though I cannot contribute to that thread it has been great to read it. Are thee no other topics that can discuss? Being in the news helped - and I hazard a thought that we need  examine current affairs and perhaps seek and argue about historical reasons for situations.

Good idea. I should like, for example, to know more about the history of the Palestine conflict. I know the British were involved over there in 1948 (and before), but I have no idea whether we helped muck things up or not.

I thought those of us posting on the Princes thread were boring you all to bits, although the viewing figures would suggest not. Hopefully the BBC/Gregory offering we are all waiting for tonight will provoke further outrage and comment.

Hi Priscilla I have often thought to ask about medieval medicine ie the seeming knowledge they apparently had in the herbs etc knowing way back then about willow bark and pouring wine on injuries etc. An instance would be Edith Pargeters Brother Caedfel. I have a suspicion that it was all invented by authors. Is there any actual evidence of how much they really knew?
