More mobile than me, I hope - stubbed a toe a few days ago which has now gone a lovely maroon shade. Thank Odin for broomsticks! (as crutches, I hasten to add, not the H Potter method)

You're more than welcome any time JH - feel free to add tuppenceworths (1p in the new money) whenever and wherever you fancy.

Glad to see you Johnny. Just because it's nearly Hogmanay, have you decided that a slightly more Celtic flavoured venue is the place to be?

It's surprising how much a stubbed toe hurts, isn't it? If you are on crutches, does that mean something is broken? I stubbed mine once just on the side of the bed and it hurt quite a lot for three days, despite no real damage being done. So now I am very sympathetic to such injuries. (You should be able to be sympathetic without the need to have actually sustained them yourself, but somehow it's easier when you remember the pain.)

Welcome from me too, Johnny.

Hello Johnny, I've had computer probs so haven't been here much lately and as soon as I arrive I find the host of the site on which I've just reregistered.

A happy new year to you and all - with the possible exception of Nordmann who, it seems from the preceding posts, will be having a hoppy new year.

Welcome from me, too, Johnny, as I contribute here the standards for knowledge isn't necessarily all that high - perhaps one of the reasons I mostly am in the pub - serving inconsequensillities (is that a word and how do you spell it?)
