Today it was announced that the first few exhibits from the British Museum from many more to come (50,000 objects is the plan) are now available for viewing via the Google Culture portal. I'm taking it the Elgin Marbles won't to be too quick making an appearance however ...

Google Culture is already so choc-a-bloc with stuff that it has become a dangerous spot for browsers, the unsuspecting can come in looking for a simple piece of Byzantine jewellery and end up three days later immersed in some dead pope's private art collection having absorbed some 10,000 years of artefacts in between. But it's a brilliant resource and well worth the risk!

BTW: The BM's own website isn't too bad either! 5 Million (!!!!!) objects have already been available over the years to view here.

You haven't done the indoor 'Street View' tour then?   Thanks for that link, nordmann, this will keep me amused for many a miserable winter evening.  I suspect that instead of watching flipping Pudsey I will spend tonight wandering round the BM galleries.
