| A bit of cinematic humor. I didn't really know where to put this topic and in the end I chose "War and Conflict". Namely, I would like to present an old Polish comedy from 1969 entitled: "How I Unleashed World War II". It tells about the military adventures of private Frank (Franciszek) Dolas, who accidentally falls asleep in one of the railway carriages and wakes up on the German side of the border, and then seeing a German general and thinking that he is a subversive, wants to stop him, shoots him, and then ... All hell breaks loose, that is, the Second World War breaks out (September 1, 1939). Franek Dolas then has many adventures, first he ends up in a POW camp, then he escapes from it, he comes to Yugoslavia (shortly before the German invasion of this country on April 6, 1941). Then he goes to North Africa, to the Foreign Legion, then to the British Army, and after many adventures he returns to German-occupied Poland to fight as a partisan. Eventually, the film (composed of three parts) ends with the entry of the Polish Army and the Red Army, which is shown as the day of liberation (the film is finally from 1969, and then the entry of the Red Army into the territory of the Second Polish Republic was considered "liberation" from the Germans. It is a pity that these "liberators" - who so much want to liberate all others while remaining in captivity - forgot to return to themselves after the war). In any case, the movie is a comedy and that's why I took the liberty of putting it here to make the forum community a little laugh. So I invite you to watch. Of course, an English translation is available. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1a-hn4aPLKMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztDjapU0lLghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrjTGVWyy-E |
