The rules are simple. Add a caption to the preceding picture (hopefully funny), set in a picture of your own and pass the challenge on to the next person.

Ok - we'll start on the Russian Front in 1943 ... any takers?

The artillery barrage had left Helmut hard of hearing:

"I said 'Take your cold HELMET off and put a warm CAP on your head!'"

Just nipping in here quickly before Vizzer returns.
Just wanted to say: "Another great idea Nordmann!" ... I think this has the potential to keep me chuckling for a good while to come. Cheers

Oh, please hurry up with that picture, Vizzer - the clouds of existential gloom are gathering again.

I agree with MM - this challenge has the potential for enormous silliness which should do us all good.

Fred could not hide his disappointment. The "Inflatable Banana-rama" he had just forked out a week's wages on was obviously not, as he had hoped, a diorama featuring his favourite fruit.

8.00 Supersize v. Superskinny

3/12 Series 6 Horrified by the medical implications of his eating habits, a 42-year-old baker from Wolverhampton swaps diets with a fastidious 24-year-old male fashion model from London. Tempers are soon fraying.*

* I suppose this won't make much sense to anyone who can't get Channel 4, but never mind.

I've edited this as there was some question mark over the photograph I'd originally inserted. Instead we'll have a 1617 unknown Dutch mother's proud portrait of her twins. The artist is also unknown, and I can frankly understand why anonymity pertains in both cases!
